How to Edit Geofence

Prerequisites. 

• Have administrator permissions: You can view, edit, modify, and delete all portal user and configuration settings.  
• Have editor permission: Can adjust configurate settings and see approvals; they cannot delete data or invite portal users.

How to Edit Geofence

Step 1.

Navigate to this panel and go to the menu on the left side of your screen, then select the “Geofence” option.

 

Step 2.

Once you click on the geofence panel header, you'll find a series of boxes that you can use to filter and find the geofences you want to turn on or off. 

 

Each box allows you to filter by certain geofence-specific information: 

• Name: to filter using name. 
• Report Type: to filter using the report type or types. 
• Report To: filter using email. 
• Subject: to filter using the subject of the email. 
• Tag: to filter using the tag configured in the geofence. 
• Status: to filter using the geofence status (Active or Inactive). 

Step 3.

After identifying the geofence we want to modify, we will navigate to the blue icon in the same row of the label and click on it.

Step 4.

After clicking the "Edit" button, the following view will appear, where you can update the geofence.

• “Choose Account*”: In this field you must select the account for which the geofence will be created.
• "Report Name*": In this field you must enter the name of the report.
• "Report Type*": In this list of options, you must mark in the checklist what you want to be included (Report, Scan, Task, Alert, Timesheet).

Note: you can check only one, several or all the checklists for the report.

• "Tags": In this dropdown you must choose the tag configured for the geofence, this will be mandatory.

• To update a geofence, on the map, you will need to navigate to the middle of the map where the following icons are located:
  • Hand: This is used to move around the map.
  • Circle: This is to create a radius geofence.
  • Polygon: This is to create a geofence with the shape required, generating points, and creating     the figure.
  • Square: This is to create a geofence in the shape of a square.
• To delete the geofence created, if necessary, we must navigate to the bottom of the map and click on the "Delete Area" button.
• To activate the geofence we must click on the "Active" checkbox when this active will turn blue.
• Then we will navigate to the blue button and click on "Next".

Step 5.

After clicking "Next", the following view is loaded, where you must complete the following information:

• "Report To*": In this field you must enter the email where the geofence report will be sent.
• "Report Cc": In this field you can add more emails to whom a copy of the geofence report will be sent.
• "Subjet*": In this field you must enter the subject of the email.
• "Body*": In this field you must add the body of the email.

To update the geofence, navigate to the blue button at the bottom and click on "Submit.".
