How to Create a No Activity Exception
Step 1.
Navigate this panel and go to the menu on the left side of your screen, then select the “No Activity Exception” option.
Step 2.
The No Activity Exception view will be shown with the list of exceptions. To add a new exception, go to the top right corner of the view and press the “Options” button, then the “Add” button.
Step 3.
The “No Activity Exception” form will be displayed, and now it is ready to be filled out. It has many options that will be explained later in these instructions, but for now, the target is to create a no-activity report for scans.
The first fields to fill are:
- Account: A drop-down button to choose the account where the exception will be created.
- Report Name: The name of the exception report
- Exception Type: There are many options that will be explained later in these instructions, but for now, the Scan checkbox is the one that will be marked.
By checking the Scan box, a new field will appear below, allowing you to select the scan point that will be monitored by the exception report.
- Scheduled Recurrence: How often you will receive the report.
- Scheduled Days: It is possible to select which days will be taken for this report; if no day is chosen, the report will take all days for it to throw an exception.
Following the configuration, the next fields to fill out are:
- Start Date and End Date: The range of time that this report will be applied.
- Start Time and End Time: The range of time this will work in the day.
- Time zone: The current time zone.
- DST Enabled: Daylight saving time is applied on consideration relative to the time zone.
- Report To: The primary email to receive the notification when the exception triggers.
- Report CC: The secondary emails to receive the notification when the exception triggers.
- Subject: The subject of the notification received via email from the portal.
- Body: The message about the exception report.
- Activate: A checkbox that, if marked, means that the Exception report is activated and sending notifications.
Step 4.
With those fields filled, it is now possible to complete the exception creation for the scans by pressing the “Submit” button. Now the form will be closed, and the recently created exception report will be shown in the list.
Step 5.
The other types of fields are:
- Task: Throws exceptions over the selected tasks.
- Report: Throws exceptions over the selected reports.
- Timesheet: Throws exceptions over timesheet, meaning that it will work either when the user clocks in or clocks out, and also with both selected.
